67-Year-Old Wanda Kendrick ID’d as Woman Killed in Midland Crash at S Big Spring Street and W New Jersey Avenue

Midland, Texas (July 14, 2022) – Authorities have identified the woman who died Wednesday night following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Midland as Wanda Kendrick, 67.

The collision happened at about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the intersection of S. Big Spring Street and W. New Jersey Avenue.

According to the Midland Police Department, Kendrick was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Spark westbound in the 300 block of W. New Jersey Avenue when she reportedly ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a red 2015 GMC Sierra pickup that was traveling southbound S. Big Spring Street.

After the collision, the Chevrolet Spark veered off the roadway and hit a tree.

Kendrick sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
