Ana Arriaga and Ixatlali Moreno Injured in Laredo Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 at Mall Del Norte

Laredo, Texas (October 27, 2021) – A girl and a woman were injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Laredo, according to the police.

The crash happened around 4:44 p.m., October 25, in the 5300 block of Interstate 35 in front of Mall del Norte.

Police said a white 2012 Nissan Rogue had stalled out due to mechanical issues and was left inoperable in the middle lane. The Nissan was then rear-ended by a white 2019 Ford F-750 work truck driven by De Jesus Solorzano Lopez, 41.

The force of the impact pushed the Nissan into the middle divider of the highway.

Ana Delia Arriaga, 53, and Ixatlali Anahli Moreno, 12, were trapped inside the Nissan. They were taken to Doctors Hospital, but Moreno was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital in critical condition.

Investigators said intoxication was not a factor in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
