Police Officer Injured in San Antonio Car Crash at Presa and Southeast Military; Trinidad Huerta Arrested

San Antonio, Texas (December 2, 2023) – A San Antonio police officer was injured Friday evening in a DWI crash in San Antonio’s southeast side, according to the police.

The crash happened around 9:10 p.m., December 1, at the intersection of Presa and Southeast Military.

Police said the officer was responding to a burglary call and was driving westbound through the intersection with his sirens on when an eastbound black Nissan truck tried to make a left-hand turn to head northbound and T-boned him.

The officer sustained head trauma and was transported to SAMMC with serious injuries.

The Nissan driver, Trinidad Huerta, was evaluated and arrested for DWI.

The crash closed the intersection for several hours.

The police are investigating the crash.
