Officer Injured in Rollover Crash at Beechnut and Boone Road in SW Houston

Officer Injured in SW Houston Two-Vehicle Crash at Beechnut and Boone Road

Houston, Texas (October 4, 2021) – A Houston police officer was injured early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in southwest Houston, according to the police.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m., October 3, at the intersection of Beechnut and Boone Road.

Police said the officer was driving eastbound when a westbound pickup truck attempted to make a left turn and crashed into the side of the cruiser.

The impact caused the cruiser to roll over.

The officer was taken to the hospital with a possible wrist injury.

The pickup truck driver was uninjured in the crash and was issued a citation.

An investigation is underway.
