Police Officer Killed and Another Injured in Corpus Christi Crash on State Highway 358 at Carroll Lane

Corpus Christi, Texas (February 1, 2020) – A 17-year-old Corpus Christi Police Department veteran was killed, and another was injured Friday night in a traffic accident in Corpus Christi, according to the police.

The accident happened around 9:43 p.m. on January 31, on State Highway 358 at Carroll Lane.

Police said three officers were conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle in the westbound lanes of SH 358 when a vehicle struck one of the units.

Two officers were injured in the crash. One of the officers later died, and the other was listed in stable condition.

One person was detained as part of the investigation, which is ongoing.
