Olgae Granados Killed in Pedestrian Accident on FM 2024 in Cleveland

Olgae Granados ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Cleveland Crash on FM 2024

Cleveland, Texas (June 23, 2023) – The pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle last week on Friday morning near Cleveland has been identified as 38-year-old Olgae Cruz De Granados of Cleveland.

The deadly crash happened at around 6:51 a.m. Friday, June 16, on Farm-to-Market Road 2024, approximately five miles northwest of Cleveland.

Authorities said Granados was walking south on the southbound shoulder when the driver of a southbound 2000 Chevrolet van fell asleep. The van then veered onto the south shoulder, where it hit Granados.

Granados died at the scene.

The driver, identified as 17-year-old Lincoln Earl Payne of Coldspring, did not suffer any injuries.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
