One Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash at FM 1585 and Highway 62/82 in Lubbock County

One Hospitalized After Lubbock County Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 1585 and Highway 62/82

Lubbock, Texas (October 2, 2020) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in South Lubbock, according to the DPS.

The crash happened just before 9:00 a.m., October 1, at the intersection of FM 1585 and Highway 62/82.

DPS said a car was stopped on FM 1585 when it pulled out to turn onto Highway 62/82 and failed to yield the right-of-way to an SUV that was traveling on 62/82. The vehicles then collided at the intersection.

A passenger in the SUV was taken to Covenant Medical Center with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
