One Injured in Car Crash at Austin Street and Avenue N in San Angelo

Driver Hospitalized After San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash at Austin Street and Avenue N

San Angelo, Texas (December 12, 2020) – A driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in San Angelo, according to police.

The crash happened around lunchtime, December 11, at the intersection of Austin Street and Avenue N.

Police said a white GMC truck was traveling westbound on Avenue N when it attempted to turn left onto Austin Street. It failed to yield the right of way and crashed into a maroon Hyundai Elantra, which was traveling eastbound on Avenue N.

The Elantra driver was taken to Shannon with non-life-threatening injuries.

The GMC driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way when making a left turn.

The police are investigating the crash.
