Man Dies, Osis Rodriguez Arrested after San Antonio Pedestrian Crash on Callaghan Road

San Antonio, Texas (January 22, 2019) – Police arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead in San Antonio on Sunday night, according to the authorities.
The fatal accident took place at about 10:30 p.m. January 20, in the 6900 block of Callaghan Road.
Police said an alleged drunk driver fled the scene after hitting a man in the roadway.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The police later located the vehicle and the driver involved with the assistance of tips given by witnesses. The suspect was identified as Osis Alonso Rodriguez, 21.
Police said Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
