Paul Billington Seriously Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident at 137th St and University Avenue

Lubbock, Texas – The pedestrian who was seriously injured Saturday night in a crash in South Lubbock has been identified as 59-year-old Paul Billington, according to the police.

The accident happened around 7:16 p.m., December 30, at the intersection of 137th Street and University Avenue.

Police said 22-year-old Aleks Martinez was driving a passenger car northbound when they struck Billington.

Billington was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
