Person Critically Injured in South Austin Pedestrian-Train Crash near South Lamar Boulevard and Treadwell Street

Austin, Texas (May 28, 2023) – A person was critically injured Saturday morning after being struck by a train in South Austin, according to officials.

The accident happened around 10:00 a.m., May 27, near the intersection of South Lamar Boulevard and Treadwell Street.

Officials said an adult person was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries after being hit by a train.

No other information was available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
