Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Vehicle on I-10 East Freeway in Houston

One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 East Freeway

Houston, Texas (May 22, 2020) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident early Friday morning in east Houston, according to police.

The deadly accident was reported at about 3:45 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 10 East Freeway at Federal Road.

Police said the pedestrian was trying to run across the interstate when they were struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. They didn’t show any signs of impairment.

The driver and their passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The accident closed several lanes of the freeway, causing major delays in the area.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
