Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Interstate 35E in Dallas

Dallas, Texas (January 9, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Dallas on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4 in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35E over Market Center Boulevard, just north of the Oak Lawn Avenue exit.

Authorities responded to the scene and declared the pedestrian dead.

The authorities determined that the pedestrian may have been struck by a semi-truck, whose driver fled the scene.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is urged to call the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at vcu@dallascounty.org.
