One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident at East Mount Houston Road and Eastex Freeway

Houston, Texas (March 31, 2021) – According to the deputies, a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning in North Houston.

The deadly accident happened around 5:40 a.m., at the intersection of East Mount Houston Road and the Eastex Freeway.

Deputies said the person was crossing East Mount Houston Road in a crosswalk when they were struck by a black car.

The car fled the scene after the accident.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where they later died. Their identity has not been released.

The authorities are looking for the driver, who, if found, will be charged with failure to stop and render aid.

The involved vehicle was described as possibly a Honda Civic.

The accident closed the southbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway feeder road.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
