1 Killed in Hit-and-Run on FM 969 in Travis County

One Killed in Eastern Travis County Pedestrian Accident on FM 969 near US 183

Travis County, Texas – One person was killed Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in eastern Travis County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 3:30 a.m., February 7, on FM 969, two miles east of U.S. Highway 183.

DPS said a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.

The pedestrian was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The crash closed all lanes of FM 969 for a few hours.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
