2 Killed, 5 Critically Injured in Street Racing Crash on McCullough Avenue at Millwood Lane in San Antonio

Two Killed and Several Critically Injured in San Antonio Three-Vehicle Crash on McCullough Avenue at Millwood Lane

San Antonio, Texas (June 25, 2020) – Two people were killed, and several others were injured Wednesday afternoon in a street racing crash in San Antonio’s North Side, according to police.

The fatal crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. on June 24, at the intersection of McCullough Avenue and Millwood Lane.

Police said at least two vehicles were racing southbound on McCullough Avenue when one of them clipped an SUV that was attempting to cross the intersection.

Another car involved in the race went off the roadway and hit a tree.

Two of the five people inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

At least five other people were taken to local hospitals in critical condition.

A fourth vehicle, a fourth black sedan, which was possibly involved in the crash, left the scene.

The racing drivers were described as in their late teens or early 20s.

The crash remains under investigation.
