Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash at Shepherd Drive and Thornton Road in Houston

One Killed in North Houston Pedestrian Accident at Shepherd Drive and Thornton Road

Houston, Texas (January 19, 2021) – According to police, a pedestrian was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash in north Houston.

The deadly accident happened on January 17, at the intersection of N Shepherd Drive and Thornton Road.

Police said a pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by a red and black truck that was traveling northbound on N Shepherd.

The truck fled the scene after the accident and was last seen traveling on Thorton Road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

An investigation into the accident is underway. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Houston Police Department.
