Three Killed in Hardin County Motorcycle Crash on FM 327; Brenon Proulx Arrested

Hardin County, Texas – According to the Texas DPS, three people were killed and another was injured on Friday after an intoxicated driver crashed into two motorcycles in Hardin County.

The fatal crash happened around 6:25 p.m., on February 2, on Farm-to-Market Road 327, near the 748-mile marker.

DPS said a 2006 Saturn Ion was traveling westbound while a 2015 Harley Davidson and a 2005 Harley Davidson were traveling eastbound. The Saturn traveled into the oncoming lane and struck both motorcycles.

The driver of the 2005 Harley Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver and one passenger of the 2015 Harley Davidson were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two of the victims died at the hospital.

The Saturn driver, 50-year-old Brenon Proulx of Silsbee, was determined to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for intoxication manslaughter and three counts of intoxication assault, all felony offenses.

The crash remains under investigation.
