Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Sam Rayburn Tollway in McKinney

One Killed in McKinney Pedestrian Accident on Sam Rayburn Tollway at Alma Road

McKinney, Texas (September 27, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run accident in McKinney, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:30 p.m., September 22, on the southbound frontage road of the Sam Rayburn Tollway at Alma Road near Grand Ranch Parkway.

Police said a person was struck by a vehicle along the southbound frontage road.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The victim was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The vehicle was described as a 2012-2016 Honda Civic that should have significant body damage to the front and driver side of the vehicle, including a missing front driver-side fender well.
