Alonso Lopez ID’d as Man Killed in El Paso Collision on Loop 375 near Montana

El Paso, Texas (October 17, 2023) – The man who died following a Sunday morning traffic collision in El Paso has been identified by El Paso police officials as 31-year-old Alonso Mario Lopez.

The deadly crash occurred at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday, October 15, on Loop 375, just north of Montana.

El Paso police officials said 21-year-old Terry Randall Kinkade of Fort Bliss was driving at a high rate of speed on Loop 375 when her 2019 Silver Nissan Sentra crashed into the back end of a 2021 Black Mazda 3, driven by Lopez, who was slowing down due to slowing traffic.

The crash triggered a chain reaction involving a 2024 Blue Toyota Camry and a 2018 White Chevrolet Silverado.

Lopez and his two passengers were transported to the hospital, where Lopez later succumbed to his injuries.

Joshua Amid Serrano, who was a passenger in the Mazda 3, sustained serious injuries.

Kinkade was transported to the hospital. Warrants were obtained for Kinkade for Intoxication Manslaughter with a split bond of $750,000 surety / $50,000 PR bond and Intoxication Assault with a split bond of $250,000 surety / $50,000 PR Bond. She will be booked pending a medical release.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
