Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Telephone Road in Houston

One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Telephone Road

Houston, Texas (January 26, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed Monday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 6:40 p.m., January 24, in the 4300 block of Telephone Road.

Police said the pedestrian was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a southbound vehicle believed to be a gray Dodge Dakota pickup truck.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The pickup truck driver fled the scene after the accident.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about the accident is asked to call the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
