Pedro Perez Garcia Killed, Richard Sanders Injured in Midland County Two-Vehicle Crash on Business 20 at SCR 1290

Midland County, Texas (April 26, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Midland County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 7:06 a.m., April 24, at the intersection of Business 20 and S County Road 1290.

Authorities said 60-year-old Pedro Perez Garcia, of Odessa, was driving a GMC Envoy eastbound in the left-hand lane of BI-20 when he struck a Dodge Ram as it tried to make a U-turn at the intersection.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Dodge driver, 52-year-old Richard Sanders, of Monahans, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
