Rachel Harman Killed, Jesus Corral and Daniel Corral Injured in Hopkins County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 11

Hopkins County, Texas (May 23, 2023) – One person was killed, and two others were injured on Friday in a head-on collision in Hopkins County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 4:20 p.m., May 19, on State Highway 11, just east of Sulphur Springs. 

DPS said Jesus Corral, 18, of Sulphur Springs, was driving a truck westbound on the highway while Rachel Harman, 40, of Como, was driving an SUV eastbound.

Corral crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed head-on into Harman’s vehicle.

Harman was pronounced dead at the scene. Jesus Corral and his passenger, Daniel Corral, 17, were taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

The crash remains under investigation.
