Wayne Woodcook ID’d as 57-Year-Old Man Killed in Lubbock Pedestrian Crash at MSF and Quaker

Lubbock, Texas (August 9, 2019) – The pedestrian who was fatally hit by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon in Lubbock has been identified as Wayne Woodcook, 57, according to police.

The crash was reported at about 1:13 p.m. Thursday, August 8, in the 4400 block of MSF at Quaker.

Police said Woodcook was walking in the area outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a 2019 Cadillac Escalade that was turning at the intersection.

Woodcook was taken to UMC, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Lubbock Police Department is investigating the crash.
