Three Injured in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash at Coleman and Wimberly

San Angelo, Texas – Three people were injured Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo, according to the police.

The crash happened on January 10, at the intersection of Coleman and Wimberly.

Police said a blue Chevy Silverado, carrying two occupants, was traveling northbound on Wimberly while a Toyota passenger car, with three occupants, was traveling westbound on Coleman.

Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, resulting in a collision. The intersection is an uncontrolled intersection, meaning there is no yield, or stop sign for any direction of traffic.

Two of the three people in the Toyota were taken to the hospital for precautionary measures. One person in the Silverado was taken to Shannon Medical Center for medical assessment as a preventive measure.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
