Randall Lee Castie Jr. Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 12 in Vidor
Randall Lee Castie Jr. ID’d as Man Killed in Vidor Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 12
Vidor, Texas (January 8, 2020) – The man who was killed in a head-on collision Monday afternoon in Vidor has been identified as Randall Lee Castie Jr., 45, of Vidor, according to the police.
The fatal crash happened around 4:20 p.m. on January 6, in the 7000 block of Highway 12.
Police said Castie was driving a passenger vehicle eastbound on the highway while an 18-wheeler was heading westbound.
According to witnesses, Castie began to drift into the westbound lane and collided head-on with the 18-wheeler.
Castie was pronounced at the scene.
The driver of the 18 wheeler truck was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
