30-Year-Old Randy C. Kolvig Killed in Aurora Pedestrian Accident on FM 718

Aurora, Texas (February 28, 2020) – A man was fatally hit by two vehicles Tuesday night near Aurora, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident occurred around 9:14 p.m. February 25, on FM 718.

DPS said Randy C. Kolvig, 30, of Aurora, was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Luis Benitez, 63, of Aurora. He was then hit by a 2006 Ford Taurus driven by Grady Holland, 30, of Decatur.

Kolvig was declared dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
