One Killed and One Critically Injured in Harris County Car Crash on Highway 290

Harris County, Texas (February 1, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was critically injured in a car crash early Monday morning in northwest Harris County, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened just before 3:00 a.m., on Highway 290, east of FM 1960.

According to the report, the crash involved an older Chevrolet or GM SUV and a Nissan Rogue. 

One person was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

Another person had to be extricated and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The crash closed the freeway for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
