Raymond Wood, David King Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 190 in Tyler County

Raymond Wood and David King Killed in Tyler County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 190 near FM 256

Tyler County, Texas (February 13, 2022) – Two people were killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Tyler County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened just before 2:00 p.m., February 11, on Highway 190, just east of Farm to Market Road 256.

DPS said Raymond Wood, 65, of Bellaire, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck eastbound when he crossed into the westbound lane and struck a semi-trailer being pulled by a 2016 Kenworth truck, driven by David King, 54, of Smithville.

Both vehicles went off the highway, and the 18-wheeler overturned.

Both Wood and King were pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
