Reed Nichols Killed in Beaumont Two-Vehicle Crash on North Major Drive

Beaumont, Texas (March 17, 2022) – A man was killed Wednesday night in a rollover crash in Beaumont, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:22 p.m., March 16, in the 3500 block of North Major Drive.

Police said Reed Nichols, 76, of Beaumont, was driving a Ford SUV southbound when he struck another vehicle. He then lost control, and his vehicle flipped over several times before hitting a utility pole.

Nichols was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The occupants of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
