Richard Jones Killed in Fort Worth Motorcycle Accident at Nikki Lane and West Risinger Road

Fort Worth, Texas (June 20, 2019) – The man who was injured last week Monday in a motorcycle accident at a Fort Worth intersection had died, according to Fort Worth police.

Richard Jones, 58, of Crowley, died on Tuesday, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

The accident happened around 4:10 p.m. June 10, at the intersection of Nikki Lane and West Risinger Road.

Police said a vehicle was stopped at a red light at the intersection when it turned left from Nikki Lane onto West Risinger Road and failed to yield right of way to an oncoming vehicle which was heading eastbound on West Risinger Road, resulting in a collision.

The impact pushed the vehicle that had failed to yield into Jones’ motorcycle.

Jones was taken to a local hospital where he died around 7:04 p.m. June 18, due to blunt-force injuries.

The first driver was cited.

An investigation is ongoing.
