Robert Belasco Seriously Injured in Lubbock Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 27

Lubbock, Texas (June 23, 2021) – The motorcyclist who was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a traffic accident in Lubbock has been identified as Robert Belasco, 58, according to the police.

The accident happened around 12:01 p.m., June 21, in the 1700 block of Interstate 27.

Police said Belasco was riding a motorcycle southbound on the on-ramp when he lost control and crashed.

Two other vehicles were involved in a collision as they stopped to help Belasco.

Belasco was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

One person in the other vehicles sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
