Rodolfo Guerra Victim in Fatal Waco Car Crash on Interstate 35

Waco, Texas (October 28, 2019) – The passenger who was killed in a traffic accident Friday morning in Waco has been identified as Rodolfo Guerra, 55, of Mansfield, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash happened around 10:20 a.m. October 25, on Interstate 35 near mile marker 338.

DPS said an SUV was attempting to merge when it hit a construction sign and knocked it into the roadway. A pickup then drove over the sign on the highway causing a piece of it to go airborne.

The metal piece went through the windshield of a Ford Focus and struck Guerra, who was a passenger.

Guerra was declared dead at the scene.

The Ford driver was uninjured.

An investigation is underway.
