Rodrigo Hernandez Killed in Motorcycle Accident on El Pinto Road in Sullivan City

Rodrigo Hernandez ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Sullivan City Crash on El Pinto Road near La Pinta Street

Sullivan City, Texas (April 9, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the motorcyclist who died in a traffic crash on Saturday night in Sullivan City as Rodrigo Hernandez, 22, of Sullivan City.

The deadly crash happened at around 10:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, on El Pinto Road, just south of La Pinta Street.

DPS said Hernandez was riding a red Honda CRF motorcycle northbound on El Pinto Road when he failed to control his speed and crashed into the back end of a blue and red Polaris RZR that was also traveling northbound.

Upon the impact, Hernandez was thrown off the bike and hit the Polaris’s rear with his face. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
