Roma Haley Killed, 10 Injured in Crash on US 84 in Lubbock County

Roma Haley Killed and Ten Injured in Lubbock County Four-Vehicle Crash on US 84

Lubbock County, Texas – One person was killed and ten others were injured on Christmas Day in a four-vehicle crash in Lubbock County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:24 p.m., December 25, on U.S. Highway 84 on the Frankford overpass.

DPS said a 2017 Nissan Rouge was traveling eastbound in the inside westbound lane of the highway when it collided head-on with a Chrysler Pacifica and a Ford Edge, before colliding with a Dodge Caravan.

The passenger of the Nissan Rouge, 85-year-old Roma Haley of Lubbock was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

The drivers and passengers, who included children, of the Chrysler and Ford were taken to UMC for treatment.

The Dodge driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
