Ryan Avery Sosa Soliz Killed in Crash with Greyhound Bus on US-62/82 in Ralls

16-Year-Old Ryan Avery Sosa Soliz Killed in Ralls Two-Vehicle Crash on US-62/82

Ralls, Texas (April 21, 2020) – One person was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash involving a Greyhound bus in Ralls, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:00 p.m. April 20, on US-62/82 near the Ralls Cemetery.

DPS said 16-year-old Ryan Avery Sosa Soliz, of Ralls, was driving a pickup truck on Highway 62, approaching the intersection of Highway 82. At the same time, a Greyhound bus was traveling westbound on Highway 82.

Soliz failed to yield right of way at the intersection, and the bus hit the front driver’s side door of the pickup.

Soliz was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the bus and their 16 passengers were uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
