Sammy Bell Injured in Fatal Car Crash on SH 7 in Nacogdoches County

Sammy Bell Injured in Fatal Nacogdoches County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 7

Nacogdoches County, Texas (March 26, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, three people killed, and another was injured Wednesday evening in a head-on collision in Nacogdoches County, eight miles east of Nacogdoches.

The fatal crash happened around 6:40 p.m., March 24, on State Highway 7.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2017 Chevrolet passenger car was traveling westbound on the highway while a 2020 Buick SUV was traveling eastbound.

For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed head-on into the SUV.

The Chevrolet driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

A passenger in the Chevrolet, Brandon Guy, 26, of Mansfield, Louisiana, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The Buick driver, Sarah Barton, 23, of Laurel Hill, N.C., was also pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Buick, Sammy Bell, 40, of Center, Texas, was taken to the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
