Samuel Zahar Killed in Head-On Crash on RM 620 near Lake Travis

Samuel Zahar Killed, Mia Caroline McKee and Kenneth Laurence Reilley Injured in Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on RM 620

Austin, Texas (October 29, 2019) – A man was killed, and two other people were injured early Sunday morning in a head-on collision near Lake Travis, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened around 2:07 a.m. October 27, on RM 620.

DPS said a Mia Caroline McKee, 24, of Spicewood, was driving a Toyota Camry northbound when he veered into southbound traffic and crashed head-on into a Chevy Malibu driven by Kenneth Laurence Reilley, 40, of Round Rock.

A southbound Toyota Rav-4 driven by Elizabeth Keith Kuse, 21, then hit the rear quarter of the Camry.

McKee was taken to St. David’s Medical Center Round Rock with unknown injuries.

Reilley was also taken to St. David’s Medical Center Round Rock for treatment.

Samuel Zahar, 53, of Austin, who was a passenger in the Malibu, was declared dead at the scene.

Kuse was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
