37-Year-Old Sergio Mayo Killed in Bastrop County Pedestrian Accident on Texas 304

Bastrop County, Texas (February 25, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident Saturday afternoon in Bastrop County, south of Bastrop, according to state police.

The accident took place around 6:37 p.m. on February 22, on Texas 304.

Police said Sergio Mayo, 37, of Bastrop, was attempting to cross the highway when he was hit by a northbound 1995 Saturn.

Mayo was taken to the Ascension Seton hospital in Bastrop, where he later died.

An investigation is underway.
