One Killed in Lubbock Plane Crash on East 37th Street near Avenue A

Lubbock, Texas (October 27, 2020) – One person was killed in a plane crash Monday afternoon in Lubbock, according to police.

The fatal crash happened just before 4:00 p.m., on October 26, in the 200 block of E 37th Street near Avenue A.

Police said a small single-engine plane crashed in the backyard of a residence. The plane then caught fire after it crashed.

One person was killed in the crash.

No one was in the home at the time of the crash, and no injuries were reported on the ground.

The crash closed Avenue A in the northbound and southbound lanes. 35th Street was also closed.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
