Wanda Evans Killed in Bastrop County Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas 71 at Tucker Hill Lane

Bastrop County, Texas (May 27, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a rear-end collision last week Tuesday afternoon in the Cedar Creek area in Bastrop County has been identified as Wanda Evans, 70, of Fredericksburg, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred around 3:30 p.m., May 19, at the intersection of Texas 71 and Tucker Hill Lane.

Police said Evans was driving a 2006 Chevrolet westbound on Texas 71 behind a 2007 Chevrolet SUV. Evans failed to control her speed and rear-ended the SUV that had stopped at a red light at the intersection.

Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
