Patsy Franklin Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 64 in Van Zandt County

Patsy Franklin ID’d as Victim Killed in Van Zandt County Crash on State Highway 64 and VZ Country Road 4913

Van Zandt County, Texas (July 1, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the person who died in a traffic crash on Thursday afternoon in Van Zandt County as Patsy Hall Franklin, 82.

The deadly crash took place on State Highway 64 and VZ Country Road 4913 on Thursday, June 29.

DPS said a 2023 Dodge Ram 5200 pickup truck hauling a trailer was traveling on State Highway 64 when it slowed down to make a left turn onto VZ Country Road 4913.

Reportedly, a 1994 Nissan XE, driven by Franklin, hit the rear of the trailer.

Franklin died at the crash site.

The driver and passenger in the truck were not injured in the crash.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
