College Station, Texas (March 3, 2020) – A sign holder was struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in College Station, according to the police.

The accident happened just before 5:00 p.m. March 2, on Rock Prairie Road at the Highway 6 overpass.

Police said a Lexus SUV was traveling eastbound on Rock Prairie Road when it ran a red light and was struck by another SUV, which was traveling southbound on the feeder road.

The impact pushed the Lexus onto the sidewalk where it hit a person who was holding a sign advertising for a local business.

The pedestrian was airlifted to a Temple hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.

The crash closed Rock Prairie Road for almost two hours.

The police are investigating the crash.

We wish the injured victim a quick recovery.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statues which were violated.
