2 Drivers and Student Injured in Abilene Crash at Buffalo Gap Road and Forrest Hill Road
Abilene, Texas (February 19, 2019) – Three people were injured Friday afternoon in a traffic collision involving a school bus at an Abilene intersection, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 4:00 p.m. February 15, in the area of Buffalo Gap Road and Forrest Hill Road.
Police said a vehicle drifted and collided head-on with a Wylie ISD school bus, which had one student on board, at the intersection.
The impact caused the bus to overturn and catch fire.
The bus driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The child walked away with minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The police are investigating the crash.
