Stephen Sims Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Lee Trevino Drive in El Paso

Stephen Sims Seriously Injured in East El Paso Motorcycle Crash on Lee Trevino Drive

El Paso, Texas (April 25, 2022) – A man was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in East El Paso, according to the police.

The accident happened on April 22, on Lee Trevino Drive.

Police said Stephen James Sims, 20, of Fort Bliss, was riding an Indian Scout motorcycle northbound in the 3100 block of Lee Trevino while Lorenzo Hernandez was exiting a driveway at 3140 Lee Trevino.

Hernandez failed to yield the right of way and hit Sims.

Sims and his motorcycle slid across the roadway, and Sim’s leg was amputated during the slide.

Sims was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
