Steve Nothem II ID’d as Carrollton Police Officer Killed in President George Bush Turnpike Crash

Carrollton, Texas (October 19, 2022) – Steve Nothem II has been identified as the Carrollton police officer who died along with another driver late Tuesday night in Carrollton.

The deadly crash happened at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 18 on the President George Bush Turnpike near Josey Lane.

As per the report, Officer Nothem was helping with a drunk-driving investigation in the westbound lanes of the President George Bush Turnpike when he was struck by a passing car, driven by Phillip Parker, 82, of Carrollton.

Officer Nothem was transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
