Taylor Defrees Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 7 in Bruceville-Eddy

Taylor Defrees ID’d as Victim Killed in Bruceville-Eddy Head-On Collision on Highway 7 near CR 436

Bruceville-Eddy, Texas (May 11, 2023) – The driver who died following a head-on collision on Sunday in Bruceville-Eddy has been identified as Taylor Defrees, 29, of Marlin.

The deadly crash happened at around 3:55 p.m. Sunday, May 7, on Highway 7 near CR 436.

Authorities said a Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Defrees, was traveling westbound on Highway 7 when, for an unknown reason, the Equinox went onto the wrong side of the roadway and collided head-on with a Ford F-150.

Defrees died at the scene of the accident.

Four occupants of the Ford F-150 were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
