Tiffany Payne Injured in Chain-Reaction Crash on SH 103 in San Augustine County

Tiffany Payne Injured in San Augustine County Three-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 103 near FM 1277

San Augustine County, Texas (August 5, 2020) – A woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in San Augustine County, according to the DPS.

The crash occurred at about 9:00 a.m., August 4, on State Highway 103 near Farm to Market Road 1277.

DPS said Tiffany Payne, 41, of San Augustine, was driving a 2016 Hyundai passenger car eastbound on the highway when she came upon other vehicles that were stopped for road construction.

The Hyundai rear-ended a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck, pushing it into a 2013 GMC pickup truck.

Payne was taken to a Lufkin hospital for treatment.

The other drivers, Randall Lowery, 64, and Aaron Harris, 30, both from Huntington, were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
