2 Injured in Cibolo Big Rig Crash Involving Avocado Truck on Interstate 10

Cibolo, Texas (October 30, 2019) – Two people were injured early Tuesday morning in a traffic collision involving an avocado truck in Cibolo, according to the police.

The crash happened at about 12:40 a.m. October 29, on Interstate 10.

Police said the driver of a truck hauling 40,000 pounds of avocados drifted toward the center median and then over-corrected, causing the truck to overturn. This caused the cargo trailer to tear open and the avocados to spill onto the roadway.

A tanker truck then hit the overturned semi-trailer. A passenger van was also hit.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
