Two Injured in Midland Five-Vehicle Crash on Interstate Highway 20

Midland, Texas (November 3, 2022) – Two people were injured in a five-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Midland, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened on November 1, on Interstate Highway 20 near mile marker 127.

DPS said a truck tractor pulling a trailer was traveling eastbound on the interstate when it rear-ended a Ford F-150, forcing it into the center median.

The truck tractor then rear-ended another Ford F-150, forcing it into the rear of another tractor-trailer.

The collision resulted in a chain-reaction crash involving five vehicles.

Two people were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, where they were treated and released.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of the interstate.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
